Writing on Complex Regional Pain Syndrome

In March 2008, The Practical Pain Management journal  (www.ppmjournal.com) began a Department devoted to Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). I'm serving as the department editor.  In this month's issue, Franklin Michaels, Jr., an inactive member of the State Bar of California who has had bilateral lower extremity CRPS since 2001, wrote on Right Unilateral Electroconvulsive Therapy Treatment for CRPS.

I'm looking for authors (lay or professional) to write about treatment, management, or living with CRPS. Possible topics might include emerging research, alternative treatments, spinal cord stimulation, how best to manage patient/medical practitioner expectations, working or surviving within the workers compensation system, HBOT, CRPS and the Emergency Department, how CRPS is treated in different countries, and CRPS and the risk of suicide.

The next deadline is April 22.

If you are interested in discussing the possibility of submitting an article, please contact me directly at 877-662-7737 or info@rsds.org.

Best of health,
Jim Broatch
